Elizabeth McMillin
Liz brings more than 25 years of experience to the 2 Mama's Cafe and Bakery team. Her experience ranges from Executive Food and Beverage Management in Five Star luxury hotels to down home, high volume restaurant ownership and operation. Having been raised in the restaurant business, Liz supported herself through The University of Texas at Austin holding a variety of positions in many different restaurants. Upon graduation, Liz joined the Four Seasons Hotel group and climbed quickly up the corporate ladder. Her posts with Four Seasons were Austin, Texas, Beverly Hills California, New York City, New York and Singapore. Upon returning to the USA, Liz purchased and operated Cafe 290 in Manor, Texas. In 2004 Liz opened 2 Mama's Cafe and Bakery in historic downtown Buda, Texas with her husband Eugene and longtime employee Teresa Garza. Liz and Eugene live in Buda and have two sons; Grant,23 and Monte, 4.
Teresa Garza
Teresa brings more than 20 years of cooking and restaurant experience to the 2 Mama's Cafe and Bakery team. Her beginnings in the kitchen began on the strings of her grandmothers apron. This is where she began to build the extensive repertoire of home cooked recipes that 2 Mama's utilizes today. After her fair share of jobs in fast food restaurants, Teresa Joined the team at Cafe 290 where she met Liz and an instant bond was formed. Teresa was the most diversely talented employee that Liz employed. In her 9 years, she held every position from cashier to waitress, baker, caterer and ultimately manager. In 2004 Liz and Teresa took the leap into an exploding market in the Buda/San Marcos area and opened 2 Mama's Cafe and Bakery to rave reviews. Teresa lives in San Marcos and has three kids; David, 15; Amber, 13; Matt, 12.
Eugene McMillin
Eugene brings over 25 years of construction and technical design experience to the 2 Mama's Cafe and Bakery team. Eugene single-handedly renovated the site where 2 Mama's sits today. On a shoestring budget, Eugene transformed the location from a run-down eye-sore of a laundramat to a warm and comfortable bakery and cafe where locals and tourists alike enjoy home cooked food and a strong sense of community. Eugene has recently taken up the hobby of cake sculpting. With his construction background his cake works of art are structurally sound and full of the details that are so important.
