JANUARY 15, 2008 - The past few months were great. I took them off to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family without being tied down to work commitments. I went to Carson City, Nevada to visit family, see some snow, and gamble. I somehow managed to win two cents over the course of the trip. Thanks Sopranos penny slots, you made me a two cent winner.
After the holidays I decided that I would be more active in developing my php skills. I have since taken on the time consuming task of build my own content management system (CMS) from scratch. So far things are going great. When it's all said and done I am probably looking at eight to ten weeks worth of work. I'll keep you posted as I get further along.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2007 - A few weeks ago I went to visit my friend Rickey and his girlfriend Sam in New Jersey. I had a radtastical time and it was great to take a break from my nonstop self imposed work schedule. We went into New York City one day and I ate the best pizza I have ever had at a place called Pizzanini. Seriously, best ever.
I have been very busy since my return. I am in the process of wrapping up three Websites and have some new and exciting projects on the horizon. I’ll be updating my portfolio soon so check back for updates.
In other news, Halo 3 is out!
SEPTEMBER 3, 2007 - Things are going great. The new site is finally all wrapped up and live, I recently got a new client, and I discovered the raddest of sandwich places. It's called Which Wich.
I went to Which Wich yesterday for the first time and I really enjoyed it. When you enter, you order by using a Sharpie to fill out your order form on a paper bag, which your sandwich later comes delivered in. Any place of business that supplies a Sharpie to its customers is okay by me.
AUGUST 18, 2007 - The 2006 online annual report Website I worked on for the Austin Board of REALTORS® won an Interactive Media Award for the Real Estate category. I'm pretty excited about this since this project was my baby. I designed and coded it.
The site was a fully Flash based and used ActionScript to control all of the interactivity and to place and move all of the page elements based on the viewer's broweser window size. With the use of animation and sound I was able to bring the cityscape to life and create an enjoyable atmosphere for the user. More details are to the right in the Featured Work section.
